Julie Chen Moonves is the host of Big Brother's 22nd season, premiering on CBS on August 5, 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator, and was one of the first hosts on The Talk. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. Then it was when she began writing that her real passion emerged. She also won an Emmy for hosting an excellent entertainment talk show. The Talk examines contemporary events by looking through the eyes of five female hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News The Early Show's early morning news show The Early Show for a 10 years. She was the anchor for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour of news in the early hours of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the conflict in Iraq, among other major news stories on The Early Show. She was dispatched to Cairo after 9/11 and conducted an intense and thrilling discussion with the father who was the primary hijacker. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with newsmakers including former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania and the former Defense Secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. The program featured famous people like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johansson Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert deNiro Jennifer Lopez, and Matthew McConaughey. She also served as a producer at ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the news affiliate of CBS as well as a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) as she completed her final year at the University of Southern California. It was her first broadcasting job as a Desk Assistant on ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is one of her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the Columbia du-Pont-winning Primetime Special that focused on what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
